Bandung Trip (Part 4)

Can u imagine my first dinner with Baobei alone was after my 5 days in Bandung?

Actually in this trip, we didnt really spend much alone time together. We are either with his friends, church members or family members.

And in this trip I feel like I am on a mission trip!

• Getting to befriend a very special person! ASEP..
• Sharing Testimony
• Preaching
• Talking to at least 5 people about going bible school next year (See..I am still working even though its holiday) :)

and all in all I only spend 1 day shopping!

Bandung Trip Continued.. (Part 3)

and after that we went to Jakarta to meet his friends! Have a fun time knowing them and I think they are awesome...

Didnt do alot in Jakarta, but honestly I dont think I want to go there again. The traffic is bad and I have food posioning!! :(

So for two days, practically everywhere I go, I need the toilet!

It is quite a nice movie! Movies in Jakarta are so much cheaper than Singapore. It costs around $2 per person.

Back from Bandung (Part 2)

Saturday 22nd August 2009 (Day 2)


So After visting his Church and sharing word at his leaders meeting, we went to meet Benjamin and Gang for dinner! They were so nice to wait for us! We went to this place where they have alot of foodstalls maybe 30 over to 40? Its like a food court kind but I really like it because they have live band! I realised that INDO people really like music and they have like live bands at most places! Forget to add on, there is live Band at the valley too!


And guess what!?! I tried the DOG MEAT!! They called it 'Scooby Doo'. I didnt took any pictures of it, but I really dont think I will eat it again. The meat taste not so bad, like duck meat. But its the image of them killing the dog that makes me go Yucks! Someone (cant remember who) actually ask, "I wonder what is the breed of this dog?". And Baobei finished the rest of the DOG meat!


Sidetrack: I really fall in love with Strawberry JUICE!

I know Shing will probably go YUCKS...but YES, I fall in love with strawberry juice! Ever Since I ate the strawberries that they sell at the volcanoes area, I practically ordered Strawberry juice wherever I go! Strawberries are really cheap there!


And back to hotel for a rest! :) Because next morning, Me and Baobei need to go church and I need to attend one Adult and one youth service!

I am back from Bandung!

Yes...finally back from Bandung! Went there for about a week and had really awesome time there. hmm..dont really know how to begin blogging. I seem to have so many things to say.

And I realised that I have seriously too many long overdue posts. :(

I just try my best. This is MY BLOG mah! haha

Quick Intro of the City:

Bandung (pronounced [bʌndʊŋ]) Indonesian: Kota Bandung is the capital of West Java province in Indonesia, and the country's fourth largest city, and 2nd largest metropolitan area, with 7.4 million in 2007. Located 768 m (2,520 ft) above sea level, Bandung has relatively year-around cooler temperature around 22 degrees! (I really like the weather there! its really COOL!) There is no need for air-con there.

The city lies on a river basin and surrounded by volcanic mountains!!!

Friday: 21st August 2009 (Day 1)

I reach Bandung, checked in at Novotel and off to find michael's friend in a mall. Basically we didnt do much but just catch up with each other. We meet up with Benjamin and gang (W149) - Pastor Aries Zone and at night we went to the VALLEY! It is a beautiful place and the VIEW and AMBIENCE at the Valley is amazing. You really feel like for a moment you are in PARIS!

You just have to go and experience yourself! The food over there is not very expensive too!

At night around 12am midnight, we went to the HOT SPRING. No photos as well..haiz so sad. Please use your imagination. Basically, its like a swimming pool. The pools are fed by warm mineral springs, which are created by the heat from nearby volcanoes. I really like the hot spring and because we were so tired, we dozed off. And I think Baobei was SNORING!?!

Saturday: 21st August 2009 (Day 2)

Early Morning Breakfast!

Benjamin and Charis (One of the nicest couple that I know!) After breakfast, we went to see Volcano! It is a MUST-SEE attraction of this city.

They are really a nice group of people to hang out with...and they are all from the same CG. I think this is one of the nicest Adult CG in CHC!

There are some shops as well for the tourist to buy things. However it is quite expensive.
But with Baobei around, He managed to bargain till its really cheap because he can speak their language.

We still have alot alot of pictures, impossible to blog all up!

After this, we went to Kampung Daun to have our lunch. The scenery is nice but the food hmm...so so loh. And something happen to the food there, that made Baobei complain.
Should not say much here but it is still worthwhile to go there for the ambience!

From here, the rest of the pple went for sightseeing and shopping whereas me and michael went to church and that is the first time I saw his church and home! By the way, his home and church is connected together.

His mum asked me to share something at the leaders' meeting. So I decided to share about loving people...and baobei is my translator. It is quite funny because I shared the word and he gave the altar call. Anyway I still think it is a good session because all responded to the altar call!

I loved the people there because they are so friendly!

I didnt took photos there because I am the one sharing right, where got chance? haha but for those who want to see how the church look like, I managed to 'steal' some photos from facebook which I will blog it up in the next entry.

Baobei finally graduated! :)

I really like the presents they bought for him. If I have a chance I will take pictures to show all of you!

We forced him to ACT cute... haha

Baobei, can you stop doing this to your eyes...its not good! :p

Israel is simply adorable and I love him so much! I am going to miss you. If I ever go Japan, I will look for you ok? :)

Amazingly, its 330am and everyone still wide awake! The students are actually allowed to stay till morning in church and attend lessons the next day. I really enjoyed the prayer meeting so much!

20 days...

Yes...20 days of not updating..

Cant believe I was so busy for the past 2o days.

Even after SOT ended, I am still busying clearing hostels from morning till night.

And even at this point, I am still not done with hostels..

*Did not even send baobei off at airport..so sorry :(
