Loving People Fervently

After thinking and praying for very long, I decide perhaps this might be the best entry to write. I do love people. I am not perfect but I do love people. Loving people is the hardest thing to do. Ok between loving people and losing handphone… I guess I rather lose handphone. Loving people is frustrating and mentally challenged ^^, but yet when the love of Christ come upon you, you see needs and broken hearts around and you know that certain things just need to be changed.

I guess many people might know why I would touch on this topic of loving people, especially when the spams just keep on coming. I am curious to know what my cell group members would do. Some I know would perhaps scold the person back and some would be very upset. What would Amber do? Hmm I honestly give it some serious thoughts. Obviously the person wants to hurt you back by writing things that matter most to you. My first thought when I knew about it was, “What happen to this person? Did he suffer some injustice that he feel so hurt?” I cant help but feel sad. I am sad not because of the words he say but sad because I cannot do anything to help him. I wish I can be there for that person so he will not be alone, but yet I cant. And I am angry to a certain extent that I cant help the person. I really want to love the person more. But as of now only Jesus can stay by his side. All I can do is to pray that Jesus can heal the wounds of the person. Very often the way people wants to hurt you back is the way that they have been hurt before. So if the person used violence on you, it is very highly likely that he has been beaten up before. And if the person used words to hurt you, it is also very likely that people have used hurtful words on him before.

What would Jesus do? When Jesus was misunderstood, criticized and condemned, He was calm and silent. Not because He was weak but He understood the pain of the one who crucified him. He knew the heart of the person who condemned Him. It is harder to hate someone than to be hated. When you want to dislike and hurt someone, you need to go through so much turmoil in your emotions and think of how to dislike that person but when someone dislike you, generally you don’t have to do anything. And of course I will do what Jesus do as well!

Just a side note: When torance knew about this, he say WAH, REVIVAL COMING! Haha if this is the beginning of revival then PRAISE GOD!! He said, “We used to have this kind of thing every week in the past when there was revival.” And I thought silently to myself, yar its so true…

The beginning of REVIVAL needs sacrifice, hard work and perserverance.

When a thousand fall, I will stand with you.

For those who love and support me alot, haha thank you guys and girls. You all do make a big difference in my life. I am not upset, so dont worry. If you really want to do something for God and for me, keep on loving people no matter how hard. That is what God will want us to do. Jia you W320!

It is Torance last week with us so here is a post to dedicate to Him…

Hmm…what to say? Many things to say but yet speechless. This is one of my hardest entry in my whole blog. Next to timothy quek, you are the longest member in W320. haha…considering timothy is in Australia…so he is still part of us.

If I were to really pen down the events that happen for these last 3 years, I think it will be 10000 words essay. Haha…of course we will still be in contact after you transfer cg. I am really happy and excited for you. Lester says you are my ‘Benjamin’…haha… And I can’t help but to agree you are indeed CG’s ‘Benjamin’!

I remember when you first came….you were still like deciding which cg to join…haha and eventually you chose W320. Gosh it was really hard to disciple you in the beginning you know. You gave me so much attitude and problem (Slamming door, Running away, shouting at me…etc) …and the funny thing is when tim and shing was helping out at the time, both of them also don’t dare to disciple you. They will always tell me, torance ah, hard to speak to him. And then eventually I will have to step in and talk to you personally. But even so, I always feel you are quite an evangelist in nature. Next to Eileen yap, I think you do bring quite a number of friends. In fact, I think I know almost your whole class. Haha. And of course the relationship problems that you have…be it your love life or friends or family…aiyoh…uncountable!

I have seen how you picked up learning guitar, how you first started acting and singing. Er memorable experience but through the years you keep on improving until now… you never fail to act and sing to amaze CG. When we are bored, I can just depend on you to make a difference. All I have to do is, “Torance, can you do something?” and then all the jokes and fun started flowing out from you. Thank you for being the life of the party! Your lame acting seriously makes all of us laugh till we wept.

The last 2 years, any outreach that we have, you will always be there to help us. Thank you for always being so willing. I don’t know if you remember this but I wrote a super long letter to you once telling you not to be so selfish and to start loving people more. Haha. I remember we sort of ‘argue’ in SMS. In fact we ‘argue’ more than once! I remember I wrote that letter to you in tears hoping that you will somehow catch the message. Oh wells I guess eventually you did because I start to see the change in you. You always ask funny questions about God, questions that probably many people will think but will not ask. But that why people see you as a leader! Brave and daring!!

Thank you for trying to teach me to improve my DOTA and CS skills. And I am sorry I never really bother to learn. But I remember I kill you once in CS. Haha. Remember the times when we have a lot of DOTA and CS outreaches? Gosh I really do feel that we can open up a LAN shop!

Another thing I got to mention is really our JW midnight MAC sessions! Haha this is like the lingo of W320! Don’t know who started it but everyone just followed eventually. Its MAC and more MAC for us. We will sit down, talk and fellowship together. Many of our outreach ideas come from those discussions. Did we ‘argue’ in that MAC before? Cant remember…maybe we did. Haha

Whenever I am sad or down you never fail to stay by my side and help me! And the thing about you, you will go and sms the whole cell group, making sure everyone know what is happening to me and you will get them to sms me the whole day to accompany me. Then you make sure all the members will be there to support me. And there are times you guys will also wait outside my house to surprise me.

When it comes to your spiritual walk, we been through a lot together as well, the dreams we have, the vision we share and the disappointment we feel and including the JOY we have….all these will be kept special in my heart! And when the rest decide to give up, we ENDURED!

I have so many things I want to say thanks to you! Add on to those thank you list from top:

Hair Cut for the threesome!

Accompany 3 great wonderful guys to a haircut at KIMAGE Hairdressing Saloon.... :) They all went in eager and excited to get a new haircut. And I am eager and excited too...haha to take their photos!!!

Ok everybody I got to admit first their after haircut photos did not look fantastic because my phone batt running real low and somehow i guess that affect the resolution or whatever the reason is.....they really look better after the haircut in real person! haha...I am sorry guys..haha..dont worry the 3 of you still look handsome!

Girls FUN!

Hi Joyce, wanted to blog this up for very long time but always did not manage to get the photos...so here it goes...haha...we wanted to buy skirts at FOX because they were having 70% discount!!! but...after trying...we realised it is so SHORT! We can probably only wear it in the changing room! We didnt buy it in the end. :) There is this thing about shopping that always excite girls....hmm maybe our next GIRL outing should be a fashion shopping TRIP like what Eileen and Joey suggested!

Movies n Dramas

My best friend's girl

This looks like a funny movie. I wonder if this will be out in singapore, because i want to watch!!! I love to watch movies!! If I listed down all the movies I have watched before...you will be amazed!!!

Haha....I love drama too..All thanks to Sijia n Karyie...I was 'hooked' on fated to love you.

But the part about this drama is that it is not finished!!! So it gets kind of irritating at the end when you wait for the next episode. It is not too bad...the jokes are rather lame though and quite alot of hokkien jokes so i guess thats the funny part and as for the romance factor of cos its sky high..what do you expect? haha all taiwan dramas are like that, story at the end gets quite draggy.

And due to my dear cousin Jonathan, I just finished HEROES (Season 1 and 2)

Oh gosh!!! This show was inspiring! haha We all want to be heroes, dont we?? :) My mummy love this show as well. I watched it on my omnia phone on my way to work. hehe..thats the thing about working far. Some pple dislikes it, some pple love it. Well I dont mind the travel distance as long as I have things to do on the bus. If not I will be bored. So HEROES was my companion! And my favourite character is ........... HIRO! He is so funny. And among all the HEROES, he is the real hero that changes the world. The one who control time can change the world! Think about it, if he has not first seen the destruction of the world, he will not have gone back time to change history. Yes the rest have powerful abilities, but without HIRO first knowing of the future, no one can do anything! :) So HIRO is my hero! haha

I know he doesnt look very handsome but it is not the looks k...all you superficial pple...it is your character that makes a difference in pple life! God also change the world we live in because bible say God is the alpha and omega meaning He is the beginning and the end. He saw the end we live in and thats why he provide for us salvation! God is the author of time too!

Career Fair :)

My company participate in the last weekend JobsCentral Career & Learning fair so cg has to be shfited to friday night instead. :) And once again thanks W320 for making the shift with no complaints. haha. So sat and sun need to rush down to the fair. Basically there isnt much to do on the fair itself except just to introduce our programmes available. Torance was with me giving out flyers. Let the pictures do the talking!

and after the fair, my beloved W320 came and look for me!!! Arent they sweet? Thanks all for making my day shine....we went over to vivo city to have our dinner and enjoy the night scenery. And I went to my FAVOURITE food court!!! I love the VIVOcity OLD style food court...it is like I am back to the 60s :)


And afterwards we went to the top level of vivo city to talk and fellowship and eat dinner together!!! Tried talking some shots but it was rather dark..so next time I will take better shots to share! :) Ended the day with lots of love and excitement!!!

Hey Xiaoshi....for you! haha was surfing and I saw this caption that they have...it says only when you know how to respect things around you, you can save the world... haha...so RESPECT will save the world and bring revival. Lets believe for the friends! Amen!

Gan Dang!

Aloha! Mr Gan Dang...you have been really a joy to cell group and all the brothers and sisters really love you alot...haha and you know what...because you always call me 'piao liang jie', it always brighten up my days! I feel comments should always be positive. :) Even when God give us names, it is a name that always edified, meaning we are to encourage people but not to put people down! haha So i always say all my members are suai ges and mei nus...try saying a positive comment to someone today and you be amazed at the joy you bring to them!

Manhood Night

Was having dinner at MOS burger with.....Jinlian and Steph...Its really fun to hang out with you girls..ok or ladies whatever... :) let the photos do the talking...

I was trying out the smile detection part of my camera phone and yup you can see it was rather poorly taken..the thing about smile detection, the camera snaps faster than my hand can position so most of the times it either end up on one side or blur pictures.. and we must smile together!

But we are determined to take a real good photo so yup...finally after countless attempts..

Hi all.....

Okok I know many of you are screaming at me for not updating...but those close friends of mine will know that I am really busy?? I am now trying to get back to the habit of blogging and it really takes awhile to adjust you know. Everytime I have alot of ideas what to blog but somehow just not enough motivation to write it down...haha but I am trying hard....so do keep a lookout for more new updates!
