Receiver of God's presence

Bible says the presence of God is everywhere and it fills the whole earth.

So how does one feel the presence of God?

I believe many or if not all of us has bought a radio/receiver before. When you buy a receiver, you will hope that it connects well to the channel that you want to listen. E.g. 98.7FM of 93.3FM. And if you are not able to listen well to the frequency of the channel, you will tune and adjust your recevier accordingly.

The different channel 98.7FM or 93.3Fm...etc is always there, but people are not hearing it because either they lack a receiver or they did not tune in correctly. That is the same in receiving God's presence. People cant feel God's presence not because God is not there. But because they lack a spiritual recevier to feel God's presence. So how can one be a better receiver of God's presence?

That is the question for you to answer. I ask the CGC class people and I got really interesting answers...

How to become a better receiver?

I feel that I can be a better receiver firstly giving it a cover. This cover has to be long lasting, cannot be torn easily. This means I need to have the perservering attitude, keeping on pressing in to God even when I did not meet him but I will need to keep on waiting and never give up.
Next, I feel that I will need to always have constant checks on the inner parts of the device to ensure that it is working. Here, the inner parts of the device would be made up of my prayer life, quiet time, reading the word of God, fasting, serving, etc. I will always need to check on myself whether I have done enough in order to keep myself spiritually healthy.

Then the next thing I need to do to become a good receiver is to make sure that all the screws are tight. This will mean that the checking of whether me and God has tight communication, whether I talk and spend enough time with him, make sure that I do not neglect Him.

I will need to constantly tune in and use the device so I will familiarize with it. This means I need to constantly worship and pray and communicate with God. Tune in to the right channel. So I will know how to get into the channel easily. It will then not be hard for me to tune in when I need.

I feel, ultimately, I need to have the correct attitude in order to meet God and hear from God. I need to always be hungry and learn to seek his face. A heart of expectancy will be also needed, expect a touch from God, a word from God. This is important. Always excited to see things happen. One thing that cannot afford to forget is really the spending time with God. Because I feel he will renew your heart and strengthen you, once you neglect this, you will feel very empty and tired, stressed up. And it will affect a lot.

How to be a good receiver is a decision to be made.
I always believe that every single thing will only happen when I decided to make a decision. A decision is very important, when we decided, we will do it, learn to do it. In the first place if we are half-hearted, we will never ever be a good receiver because receiver receives all information.
Guess what if we are half-hearted, we will never get the full information just like we will never understand what God is speaking to us, by then we will be confused.
Sometimes in our conversation with God, we tend to say God is speaking not to me but others, we push it to others but actually He is speaking to US. Don’t just claim that Jesus wants you to find out yourself but too you must check on yourself as a good condition receiver.
Jesus said when you ask, you will receive. I believe when you seek for an answer, He will tell you only if you are in good condition to receive.
Even when you make a decision to be one, the second thing you need is determination.
So it is determined decision, a firm yes to be a good receiver.
Your attitude may block the reception of the receiver. So the right attitude is important, a humble, open and willing heart will bring you way deep into God.
We got to do constant self-check to maintain a good receiver. There will be times that we are tired either physically or spiritually but then we got to renew our battery every single day of our life so that we can be a perfect receiver on God.
I think the best way is to spend more time with Him, praying and fasting makes your connection with God better, clearer.

In order for me to be a good reciever I will fast faithfully and pray to God everyday. I will come with a heart of expectancy for every cell group meeting and service that I will meet God and God will do something great in my life. I will do my quiet time faithfully and with self-discipline. I must always be early for the cell group meetings and services and that I will focus on God for every worship and I will praise him with joy and excitment. I will concentrate when pastor's preaching to hear the word of God. Whenever, there is an alter call for us we will be the first to rush down for it as I am hungry for God, and whenever there I am feeling down, I won't let my emotions be higher than God. Last but not least, I will put in my best effort to fulfil all these in order to be a good reciever of God

If there's a will there's a way, so i think i must always come to god with a heart of expectancy, always to expect something happen.Have close intimacy by talking and praying to god everyday. Actually, i feel to be a good receiver and be able to receive from God, it all depends on our heart.
When we worship, if we sing for the sake of singing, if we sing without meaning what we sing, of
course God will not be there. But when we worship, if we settle our hearts and expect something
from God, if we thirst and hunger for His touch and His presence, i believe God will come. Another point is when we worship, sometimes people just keep asking God for blessings and good things to happen to them, throughout the whole worship, they just asked and asked but they did not spend the time to just love God and seek God, they never put aside all their worries and problems and just love God for that moment. We should worship and just seek God, just love Him and when His presence come, we will gain the strength to go on again, we will just receive ideas to solve the problems. God already know our problems and what we are going through, so why not just love Him for that moment.

Sometimes our faithfulness in quiet time also affects us from being a good receiver. Like a son who always spend time with his daddy and love his daddy everyday, and a son who only spend time with his daddy and love him on weekends. In which situation will the relationship between the daddy and the son be stronger and closer? It should be the first one. The son that always spend time and love his daddy everyday, the son who always draw close to the daddy, their relationship should be stronger. In the same way, if we only seek God on weekends, and on weekdays we did not even care about Him, how is the relationship between God and ourselves be able to grow stronger, to be closer? That is why we should always seek God everyday, faithfully, and so that the relationship will be closer, and we will be able to press in to God easier, to receive something from Him. And i also feel that we should never take God's presence
for granted! If we want high anointing and high presence of God, we got to pay a high price. If we sit aside and do nothing, just waiting for God to come, just assuming that God would come, we are wrong.

its been some time since I have been blogging...ops...didnt even realised that...so many things that I need to blog up, but dont know where to start, that is the problem with blogging. Once you miss your daily blogging schedule, you will just find it hard to blog it up again.

Haha...this is one wedding that I really enjoyed myself. It is such a joy to see both of them happy together. Dont really have all the photos with me, and torance already blogged up most of them. How do you measure love? How much does God love us? It is sometimes really hard to understand the love God has for us. Sometimes I can even get confused over how much I love people around me. But one thing I do know, God loves me enough to send Jesus down on earth to die for me. :)

It has been some time since I have spoken to you. Hope you are doing fine. Just want to say I really miss you alot! and I believe many people do as well. You are a special friend to me and has touched me more than you can ever imagine. There are times that we fight over silly things but at the end of the day, I really still care for you. I dont agree with your decision that you have made now and I will be praying very hard that you will make the right decision soon.

Probably you will never have read this entry, but i hope somehow you will. That you can see and know that there are people thinking of you at this moment. I do enjoy every min that I spent with you and I do still thank God that I have a chance to know you. Will I ever have the chance again to see and talk to you? I dont know....

I always love balloons. Since young, I thought it is amazing something so small can be expanded into something so colourful. And before it end its lifespan, it end with a loud bang, announcing its death to everyone. Haha I am just fascinated with balloons. And some balloons die without any sound. It has a longer lifespan but yet it fade off slowly till you see it no more...Balloons cheer me up when I am down. It add life and excitement to me. Well though temporary, I still cant help but to say, I LOVE BALLOONS...I love to see balloons flying away in the sky.

Night Walk in NTU

We decided to take a night walk in NTU. It was a long and tiring walk. I supposed we walk for around 2 hours? When we finally saw a vending machine, we were like as if we found heaven! haha and they bought a bottle of coke because they were so thirsty. And I can remember what they say, "I think this is the best coke in my life!" Anyway if you look at KX messy hair in the last picture, you can probably imagine how tired and hot he is. Anyway it is fun exploring the place with you guys. In the end, they wanted to get a free ride out because they were very tired, but little did we know that we are already near the exit. haha, they tried to sitck out their thumb to hitch a ride but UNSUCCESSFUL! How helpful is Singaporean? Rating: 1/10 Anyway we manage to find the quick exit in the end and yeah, HOME SWEET HOME.
